A story worth ORO

ORO Caffè was founded in 1987 in the province of Udine, when Stefano Toppano and Chiara De Nipoti took over a small artisan coffee roastery specialising in retail sales.
It marked the beginning of a journey built on passion, expertise and a constant pursuit of quality in the world of coffee.
Stefano focused on coffee roasting, using a 30 kg roaster, while also overseeing the company’s commercial development.
Chiara managed the administrative side of the business and selected the raw materials, choosing the finest Arabica and Robusta coffees.
This is how ORO Caffè entered the Ho.Re.Ca. sector, bringing to the market its distinctive interpretation of Italian espresso: balanced, harmonious and instantly recognisable.

Artisan Roasting and Consistent Quality Over Time

From that small artisan roastery, ORO Caffè has grown into an Italian company with more than 50 employees and a production capacity of 6,000 kg of roasted coffee per day.

The same care that inspired its beginnings continues to guide every stage of the process: from selecting the beans and defining the roasting profiles to the ongoing research into blends, origins and varieties.

This balance between experience and innovation gives life to harmonious, well-balanced and distinctive coffees, ensuring consistent quality in every cup.

Over the years, the company has evolved while preserving its family identity. Today, Elisa Toppano, Marketing Manager, and Ketty Toppano, Operations Director, work alongside Stefano Toppano and Chiara De Nipoti in shaping ORO Caffè’s strategic development, bringing a contemporary vision while remaining true to the company’s founding values.

Innovation, Sustainability and Technology

In 2009, ORO Caffè’s growth led to the opening of a new production facility covering more than 2,400 square metres, designed to combine technology, efficiency and environmental responsibility.

Its technologically advanced and fully automated roasting systems allow every stage of the production process to be precisely controlled, preserving the quality and distinctive character of each coffee over time.

Sustainability is also an integral part of this evolution. The facility is equipped with a photovoltaic system that generates renewable energy and feeds part of it back into the grid.

Professional Coffee and International Presence

Today, ORO Caffè is a trusted partner in the supply of professional coffee solutions to cafés, restaurants and hospitality businesses, offering a comprehensive range of blends, single-origin coffees, equipment, accessories and customised services.

The company supports each customer in developing a high-quality offering by providing expertise, assistance and solutions tailored to different professional needs.

With more than 1,500 active customers in Italy and a presence in over 30 countries, ORO Caffè brings its own interpretation of Italian espresso to the world. Its international growth is supported by operational offices in Germany and Canada, together with a well-established sales network.

Alongside distribution, the company invests in coffee culture through its Academy. Every year, more than 200 baristas take part in training programmes dedicated to extraction techniques, service and knowledge of the raw material. This commitment translates into hundreds of hours devoted to the selection, study and appreciation of coffee.
